陈克海与发小方黎为抗日救国，参加了军统的特务培训班。报道当日，陈克海为女学员沈秋萍出头，引起了特训班长官苗长寿的注意。陈克海毅然在特训班的生死状上签下名字，并与陈彬、李唐、乔三民等人成为同学。加入特训班当晚，老学员张备带头训新，把陈克海等人赶出特训班买烟酒，陈克海不愿方黎和张备起冲突，潇洒翻墙。没曾想众人走出学校不远，就被麻醉针击晕。陈克海醒来，发现自己被日军抓捕，拷问特训班地址，陈克海发现对方的着装出了纰漏，拿起椅子击碎了墙面，原来自己正在上课的教室，而这一切都是特训班为考察学员忠诚度而设计。方黎、陈彬和乔三民等人也用各种方式通过了考察，其中方黎行为过激，为了寻找陈克海下落，差点将伪装日军的教官打死。苗长寿将陈克海叫到办公室，声称特训班进了内鬼，而方黎就是最大嫌疑人，陈克海聪察觉苗长寿另有所图，只是为保方黎安全，接受了苗长寿暗地查找内鬼的任务，他不知道的是，苗长寿还通过教官金民学之手，逼出了方黎参加特训班的真正目的。
