กมฺมุนา วตฺตติโลโก สัตว์โลกย่อมเป็นไปตามกรรม แต่ว่ากรรมใดหนอที่ทำให้ชีวิตของ บุญ ภาวนาดี เต็มไปด้วยสิ่งที่ไม่คาดคิดอย่างกับอยู่ในละครซิตคอม เล่ากันว่า...ชีพ พ่อของบุญ คือลูกชายของ ชัยชนะ มหาเศรษฐีใหญ่ ที่เกิดพบรักกับแม่ค้า แล้วพ่อบุญก็พาแม่มาเริ่มต้นชีวิตใหม่ โดยไม่นำสมบัติของปู่ติดตัวมาแม้แต่ชิ้นเดียว ซึ่งถ้าเรื่องเล่านี้เป็นจริง บุญคงแอบคิดในใจว่า พ่อก็หยิ่งเกิน น่าจะนำสมบัติติดตัวมาสักหน่อย ครอบครัวจะได้ไม่ลำบากขนาดนี้ หรือเรื่องความร่ำรวยของพ่อ จะเป็นแค่เรื่องเล่า หลังจากที่พ่อแม่ของบุญรถคว่ำตาย ยายบัว จึงให้บุญบวชเรียนตั้งแต่ 10 ขวบ และศึกษาธรรมะจนได้นักธรรมเอก แต่เมื่อโตขึ้นบุญตัดสินใจสึกออกมาดูแลยายเพราะต้องการตอบแทนบุญคุณ และคิดว่าในโลกนี้ นอกจากยายบัว บุญก็ไม่มีญาติที่ไหนอีก แต่ใครจะคิดว่า ตำนานรักลูกชายมหาเศรษฐีของพ่อจะเป็นจริง เมื่อ อาแจ่ม เลขาฯ คนสนิทของปู่ มาพบกับบุญและยายบัวพร้อมพินัยกรรมที่ระบุว่า ปู่ที่ตายไป ได้มอบ หอเกียรตินิยม หอพักนักศึกษา ให้กับพ่อของบุญที่ตายไปแล้วเช่นกัน ซึ่งเท่ากับว่าหอพักตกเป็นของบุญ ที่ยังอยู่
