　　花逢春被缨儿的天真无邪所打动。秦九无意中发现赵鲁与洋人勾结贩卖文物，便挺身而出，赵鲁让朱魁率领警察逮捕秦九，为保住国宝，秦九与之展开了周旋。奉命赶到的花逢春和胖三得知真相后，坚持将文物扣留调查。文物由爱国学生带回举办展览。花逢春与秦九解除了误会，大有“英雄惺惺相借”之感。而此时，秦九却意外发现花逢春的父亲竟是二十年前杀害阿彩、抢走两个婴儿的仇人吴峻。因为花逢春破坏了朱魁贩卖文物的计划而被抓，朱魁以死来威胁花逢春让其劝诱学生交出文物，花逢春宁死不屈。吴峻欲冒死劫狱，前来报仇的秦九得知后将其打昏。学生们坚决要救出花逢春，秦九提议由钱牧庸出面最为合适。面对冒险来探望自己的缨儿，花逢春很是感动。
