谢小霓与承天、元香到了京城，元香说舅舅的制衣铺很大，收留他们肯定没有问题了，不过现实还是让他们失望了，元香舅舅的制衣铺很小，舅妈完全不记得元香，元香冲进去一把抱住了舅舅，舅舅才想起多年没见的外甥女。得知元香是带着谢小霓和承天来投奔他们的，舅妈十分不高兴，一把抓过舅舅说他们自己都快吃不饱了，转头就拒绝了元香，他们也是无能为力。舅舅也实在没办法，只能劝舅妈留下来元香，谢小霓和承天不肯给她添麻烦想要离开，元香很是难过。最后舅妈总算答应让他们都留下了，不过要想留下必须要干活，三人连忙道谢开始帮忙干活。申今天又输了钱，于是又跑去找苏功铭要钱，苏功铭让账房先支钱给他。苏文宇不明白那个人是谁，苏功铭只说是账房的亲戚，还让苏文宇照顾好颜文秀。颜文秀一直黏在苏文宇身边，苏文宇却总是找借口拒绝。谢小霓和元香、承天费劲力气收拾好了破落的房间，终于让制衣铺焕然一新。这时，有流氓上门来要例钱，元香冲出去被调戏，承天和他差点打起来。谢小霓突然拿出一些银子，要他们一年之内不能再来骚扰，对方这才离开。这是他们身上所有的银子，舅舅舅妈很愧疚，小路和小琴说起了欧阳子虞的八卦，欧阳子虞近日茶不思饭不想，小路调侃他还在想谢小霓，本就无父无母这下云锦庄走水她就更不知道去哪儿了。谢小霓重新回到了谢府，这里的破旧不堪与以往的繁荣景象截然不同，谢小霓红了眼眶。苏文宇看着谢小霓的手绢发呆，颜文秀发现后故意引开了他，悄悄进去。
