开拓宇宙的时代，人类向外太空进军，在银河统合政府持续与殖民地解放军进行战争的行星克雷斯兰德上，据说沉睡着传说中的海盗王布鲁斯所遗留下的100亿宇宙元。而在被统合政府通称为COYOTE(郊狼)的非法海盗中，有一位恶名远扬的、通称密斯特(Mister)的COYOTE和他的同伴们、以及身为布鲁斯的女儿的少女弗兰卡一起向回收布鲁斯的遗产发起了挑战。 与此同时，犯罪组织克里密吉尔多的成员玛尔切亚诺率领的杀手集团，也以布鲁斯的遗产为目标开始行动。然而，统合政府为了结束战争，宣布将向克雷斯兰德投下光子炸弹爆破整个星球。 时间限制正在临近，打算回收布鲁斯的遗产的密斯特一行人，同样以布鲁斯的遗产为目标的玛尔切亚诺，还有为了逮捕密斯特而前往同一目的地的银河联邦警察，三路追踪正在逐步展开。
